Description
19th-century cameo in 18K yellow gold, hallmarked. The chalcedony carved in high relief features a female profile, framed by an openwork design and enhanced with eight pearls. The piece measures 6 cm in length, 45 mm in width, and 10 mm in thickness.
The oval setting is highlighted by an engraved border and foliate motifs, punctuated by volutes. A central pearl adorns the top of the cameo, while a dangling pearl extends the composition. The reverse reveals a horizontal pin for wearing as a brooch, associated with a removable bail for wearing as a pendant.
